Crunch

My body is falling apart. First I get sick. Two days this week, I was very weak and didn’t want to move around a lot. Then, my father smashes my pinky finger between a tractor and some pallets. It’s pretty messy. I should have probably gotten stitches, but decided not to. For now, I have a brace on my finger to I don’t bend it while it scabs up. It didn’t really bleed a lot, but tore a very large chunk of skin off. It is hindering my typing, and I have a lot to do tomorrow in LA… well, Tuesday. I leave tomorrow morning, and won’t arrive there till about 4:00 in the afternoon. However, on a positive note, I have a new toy. It is similar to a PSP, but it plays older games, like with Sega and SNES, and NES… the games where the game content was more important than the graphics. I’ve also got a Sprint Wireless Access card, so I can get Internet anywhere I go. Tomorrow, I will be driving with Google Earth by my side. It should be fun. Anyway, I must go finish packing. I’ve got to pack for a week, or find a way to wash clothes up there. Also, I’d like to cut my hair while I am up there, but Jessica says it looks good the way it is, so maybe I need to find a way to style it?

Lakeland, Here I Come

Well, I am on my way back for now. This may not be as big of a project as it looked initially, and may not take as much time. But I will still be back and forth quite a bit. I fly to Houston tonight, then back to Tampa, where Lowell will be probably be sleeping when he is supposed to be picking me up. Then I am home for a week. I drive back here on Monday next week. I’ll have a pile of DVD’s waiting for me, and a really nice expensive computer (with dual monitors!). I’ll be ripping DVD’s like crazy (back off MPAA, they are from Sony camcorders) with a custom bash script that I wrote that uses mencoder and lsdvd. I even got it to work over the network and rip from other DVD players in Windows computers. Of course, this was all running through my underpowered laptop, so it was slower than I thought.

NetSol Crap

I constantly get calls from “800 Service.” I decided to actually say Hello this time, and the guy was from Network Solutions. He wanted to make me aware of the services that they offered. He warned me that one of the domains in my account was coming up for renewal. It is due in August of 2007. Coming up!?! It’s over a half a year away!
