(6.3MB email via Exchange Server) x (20+ seperate domains) = Dead Internet Connection
Look, don’t send huge attachments to 40 seperate people when using an Exchange server. It is just not a good thing. Your connection will crawl. I guess I will have to have a meeting with a few people.
Thank god I’ve got a 100 mbit connection going into my colo space.
This wasn’t on my server… they send out direct from their Exchange server. I’ve downloaded some big things here, but it hasn’t affected it. They are running via Business DSL, and I have NO idea what the speed is. They “share” their connection with next door.
uh, what are you saying?
I am saying that when you send a 120MB to 260MB email attachment, it bogs down your Internet connection. Or at least it seems to on DSL.
I’ve actually had a customer send a 300 mb PDF to everyone in their office through my mail server…. On a DSL line…. and then they call and complain that Outlook has frozen up.
should I be taking this personal? “Next door” as mentioned above?
Sheesh… don’t take everything so personally.
