So I was at a customer’s office today, and there was a kitten running around. As soon as I mentioned it, they wanted me to take it. They said they found it in the back. Funny thing, I am actually considering it. Meiko realllllly needs a friend to play with during the day. And this particular cat seems to have the same playing style that Meiko does. One of the most important things, it’s naturally litter trained… so no having to worry about that. Bad thing is, I’d have to get it spayed. I’m not sure how long I could wait on doing that. I think it’s better to do it before they reach a certain age. Anyone know anything about that?
Call Dr. Howell’s office and tell them the “fish and rabbit” guy sent you (863) 858-2252. They’ll hook you up.
I believe that you normally have to wait until the animal is sexually mature before a neuter or spay, otherwise odd things may happen. I’m not a vet. Call one up.
I’m not sure the age, but if you want it declawed, better to do it when the are really little. I want a kitten!!
Declawed!?!? That’s mean!! I don’t like to declaw cats.
You don’t have to wait until the cat is sexually mature to spay it. They spay them at the SPCA as soon as you adopt them. Dr. Easom’s office (where Meiko goes) did Sophie for around $100.00. You CAN wait until it is sexually mature, but that’s like five months with a female cat. It doesn’t matter too much because you don’t let them outside, but I doubt you want to listen to a cat in heat.
they usually wait until they have 1 litter, but I would do it about 5 months old.Joy was done at 4 mos.
You can still have one of Lelu’s kittens…
Don’t wait 9 months because that’s when they go into heat and it is not pretty. They will do ANYTHING to get out!
