So I was at a customer’s office today, and there was a kitten running around. As soon as I mentioned it, they wanted me to take it. They said they found it in the back. Funny thing, I am actually considering it. Meiko realllllly needs a friend to play with during the day. And this particular cat seems to have the same playing style that Meiko does. One of the most important things, it’s naturally litter trained… so no having to worry about that. Bad thing is, I’d have to get it spayed. I’m not sure how long I could wait on doing that. I think it’s better to do it before they reach a certain age. Anyone know anything about that?
WTF??
Ok… who did it?? Who put the letters “WTF” on my fridge using my letter magnets? It had to have been someone at the little Christmas party that I had. So fess up!
My New Favorite Webcomic
I have discovered xkcd, a “webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language”. I am really starting to enjoy it. You should check it out… a few of the comics I can relate to, as I think about the same thing:
Movie Seating
Pillar
Paths
Hallucinations
dPain over dt
And a few I just like:
Nerd Girls
Valentine – Heart
Exploits of a Mom
Laser Scope
That Lovin’ Feelin’
In The Trees
Christmas GPS
Nash
And there are a few that I like that I should just not link to.
I’d Date Liz Lemon
So I’ve discovered that I actually like the show 30 Rock. Granted, most of it may be Tina Fey. However, the show is really hilarious. And Liz Lemon… I don’t know why, but I find her intriguing. As Jack on the show describes her, “New York third-wave feminist, college-educated, single-and-pretending-to-be-happy-about-it, overscheduled, undersexed, you buy any magazine that says ‘healthy body image’ on the cover and every two years you take up knitting for…a week,” just seems to be my type. And because Tina Fey is hot.
Cat Fight!
Back in my high school days (ages ago, I know), when there would be fights in school students would rally around the fight to see what was going on. I’d usually be heading the other way. I thought it was stupid and immature. I find it interesting though that my cat would like to see a fight too. At the moment, somewhere outside two cats are hissing at each other ready to start a fight. I can not see it from my house, but I can hear it as I have my windows open. Meiko however, is dying to see the fight. She is anxiously waiting by the nearest opening in my house to see if I might just open it so she can get a step closer.
My First Sewing Kit
I bought a really nice shirt last week from Old Navy. I nice grey shirt that “attracts” according to a friend. I wanted to wear it again this morning, so I pulled it out of the dryer (yeah, that’s where I store my clothes), noticed it was still wrinkly (I think it’s supposed to be), and ironed it. I go to put it on a little while later… and a button is missing. I used a few choice words against my washing machine and dryer. I’ve been meaning to get a sewing kit from Walmart for weeks now (since my previous sewing kit, my mother, was leaving). So I put the shirt on, and headed out to Walmart. Walked in the back with my shirt on while missing a button. Grab a kit, and go to the checkout lanes. While the lady at the checkout was trying to tell me the correct way to fix a button, I noticed the kit was only like a $1.25 or something. The following comes in a small plastic box: a ruler, 4 spools of thread, a paper spool with 7 colors of thread, a thimble, 2 eye needles, three regular needles, the needle threader, several buttons, and a small pair of scissors. All this… for a $1.25. I mean, can you imagine how much work went into putting this little packet together… how can this be soo cheap in a world where things cost so much?
Anyway… I got my button sewed on. Oh, and it was the extra button, because apparently, there was a piece of the old button stuck in the thread that was still on the shirt, so I am guessing it disintegrated in the washing machine. I’m not sure on my sewing skills, but we shall see if it holds up. I have been wanting to learn to sew, and to use the sewing machine I have. However, using that needle for 10 to 15 minutes (hey, it was my first button, go easy on me) was really killing my hands and wrists… I dread my future carpal tunnel or other repetitive wrist syndrome. I really need to try the cross-stitching thing, as I hear it is good for that stuff… anyone got anything to get me started?
All Alone
So it’s official. My family has left me. The last of them left this morning. My father comes back one more time to get the last of the stuff. Then next time I see them will be for a few days in February, but after that, I have no idea. And none of my friends seem to want to hang out with me, or have moved away/live too far away. Sad times.
Photo Shoot
So I have a friend who own a photography studio and is setting up a new studio. I go in there today to set up a new Plasma TV that they will use to display photos to customers. I am wearing a gray button up, and my friend Amanda immediately says I need a photo shoot and forces me to have pictures taken of me. I am told to pose. I don’t pose. In all but two of the pictures, I think I look fat. Anyway, I will now have new “Myspace photos” as Sam (my friend, her husband) mentioned. I feel I should plug her new photo studio, so here is the info:

New Year, New Jason
Welcome to 2008. So many things changed this year. Wait, it’s only been 12 hours. Ok, so not much has changed yet. Last night was pretty hilarious. My friend Erika invited me over to her New Years Eve party. Let me just say, she was drunk. I believe she had fifteen jello shots. Which led to this:

Her and her friends made this wonderful piece of art. She passed out just after midnight. I think this will be her first hangover. Good times.
Bobby’s Throwing Things Again!
So I decided to stop where Bobby works during the day today to pick up a large check waiting to be deposited. I pull up to the building, and notice I’m parked a little crooked. This drives me nuts, as I can be a little obsessive compulsive (ok, a lot) about those types of things. So I back up a little, straighten out, and go forward. That’s when I hit the building. It made a loud thud noise. And dented the building’s metal exterior. Luckily, there was no damage to my truck (and no air bag exploding in my face). Of course, I am not the only one that has done this as the building’s exterior is full of dents. What was even funnier though is when I went inside to put a box in Bobby’s office (as he wasn’t there) and the ladies in the office said, “Watch out, it sounds Bobby’s throwing things again.” I said he wasn’t there, and they said they heard a loud bang and thought it must have been Bobby throwing things.
